Almost 20 years ago, Jay Clement headed South to blaze a new trail.
He started a career in the food & beverage industry and owned businesses in Wood Fired Pizza, Bean to Bar Chocolate, and Hard Cider.
While building these businesses, Jay was quietly roasting coffee in his garage. He started his small batch specialty coffee roasting journey with a 1970's West Bend Poppery Popcorn popper - and the first batches were....good! They were good enough to propel the hobby of small batch coffee roasting an additional 9 years before deciding to go "pro".
Now after a little convincing, the Clement's have moved back to Rochester and are bringing their LOVE of coffee with them in the form of MIGHTY SEED COFFEE.
